LONG BEACH, CA — Salar Aliassar, P.E., has joined SCS Engineers (SCS) as a Solid Waste Project Manager. Salar works out of the SCS Long Beach office supporting clients throughout the region. As a Project Manager, he executes and manages landfill engineering and landfill gas (LFG) service projects, as well as projects at other types of waste management facilities.
Aliassar specializes in directing, designing, analyzing and troubleshooting LFG systems and landfill construction projects. His experience includes technical work, project management, staff supervision, business development and contract negotiations. He previously spent six years with Tetra Tech BAS as a project manager responsible for designing landfill gas collection and treatment systems, guiding projects through regulatory compliance, and supervising operations and maintenance programs.
“Salar’s skills are valuable to SCS because we know he can work directly with regulators,” said Pat Sullivan, SCS Senior Vice President. “That makes him an efficient fit for our team; as a registered California Professional Engineer he can manage engineering, permitting, construction, and operations-monitoring-maintenance projects for clients too.”
Aliassar earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Irvine.
